Your skills will be boosted when your energy meter is Hoverheating. But they will also be less efficient when the gauge is low.
Some actions consume your energy while grinds, on the other hand, tricks and combos generate energy and help you make your character Hoverheating.

Keeping a high average energy gauge is the key to success.
